SHHA EMERGENCY CENTER

The remodeled Sleepy Hollow Homes Association Comunity Center has proven its value many times a centrally-located, immediately available facility equipped with back-up power, water, and supplies that could be used for emergency evacuation or shelter.  The site is an ideal focal point for the organization and deployment of community preparedness teams and the supplies, infrastructure, and communications resources needed to manage the teams and provide vital information to the community in the event of an emergency. 

During power outages in Sleepy Hollow, the Community Center is often full of residents taking advantage of the emergency generator and internet connection which includes a connection to the television.  

There are emergency supplies in storage and a robust and reduntant communication system  that will be fully functional in an emergency.   The SHFPD offices are also on site and staffed most days of the week.   Stop by if you have wildfire safety questions or want to take home some of the educational materials
