EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS

The SHFPD office at the SHHA Community Center contains the following emergency communications capabilities:

Satellite Phones

There is a base station satellite phone and a small cache of portable satellite phones

Ham Radio

The Ham Radio that can communicate directly to the Marin Office of Management   Sleepy Hollow residents who are interested in becoming Ham Radio operators should send an email to the District.

Private Radio System

This radio system that includes a base station and portable radios that can communicate with the base station utilizing radio channels that are dedicated to Sleepy Hollow.

MERA Scanner

The scanner monitors the Marin Emergency Radio Authority frequencies used by public safety personnel.

NOAA radios

A cache of the same NOAA radios that have been distributed to all Sleepy Hollow residents.
