POLICIES

SHFPD Board members are subject to California's Political Reform Act, a state law that governs conflicts of interest for public officials. To comply, the District maintains a Conflict of Interest Code and requires Board members to file Statements of Economic Interests (Form 700), disclosing certain financial interests that could affect their decisions. Below, you'll find our policy and instructions for how to request to inspect a filed Form 700 or the District's Conflict of Interest Code.

SHFPD recognizes the necessity for its board members and employees to travel to conduct business, training, or attend meetings and has, therefore, adopted a written policy governing reimbursement of Board member and staff expenses, consistent with AB 1234. The policy is intended to clarify what is the District's responsibility and to provide guidelines to its employees and board members.
