GRANTS AND ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS

Background
Beginning in mid-May, Defensible Space Inspectors from the Ross Valley Fire District will be conducting home evaluations in Sleepy Hollow. At the conclusion of an evaluation, a homeowner will receive an official report summarizing recommended and/or required actions they need to take.
To support homeowners with taking the recommended/necessary actions highlighted in their evaluation report, the Sleepy Hollow Fire Protection District (SHFPD) is proud to offer the following programs to Sleepy Hollow residents:
SHFPD Direct Assistance Pilot Program
This program will provide Sleepy Hollow residents with the opportunity to receive free hazardous vegetation removal and disposal services from a local, licensed contractor. Participation will be on a first-come, first-serve basis until funds run out. Sleepy Hollow residents interested in participating in the program must submit an application by Friday, July 29th at 5:00 PM PST. Residents whose applications are approved will be contacted directly and all details will be confirmed. We expect work to be completed during July and August. Additional program information and application instructions can be found at www.shfpd.org/shfpd-direct-assistance-pilot-project.
