The Sleepy Hollow Fire Protection District (SHFPD) is committed to reducing the threat of wildfire in our community.  In support of this effort, the District will award grants up to $599 per household for approved vegetation management work.  The vegetation management work must consist of:

1) The removal of eligible Fire-Hazardous Plants/Vegetation*


2) The creation/maintenance of defensible space around a home and/or the perimeter of a property  


In order to be eligible for reimbursement through the grant program, residents must do the following:

  1. Click HERE to complete the grant application and receive pre-approval
  2. Email “before” photos of the area where the work will be completed (photos can also be uploaded to the application)
  3. Email “after” photos of completed work
  4. Email a copy of invoice and proof of payment (usually a canceled check or receipt from a contractor).
