News From Sleepy Hollow Fire Protection District

Next Chipper Days: August 26-27, 2017

The July Chipper Days were a great success!  Our busiest Chipper Days ever, we saw 25% growth over the same time last year.  If you missed us, or have more material to chip, it's not too late -we'll be coming back August 26-27.  Thanks for doing your part to make Sleepy Hollow a Firewise Community!  Thank you to Small World Tree Service, a Sleepy Hollow business, for getting the job done quickly and professionally!

Sleepy Hollow Fire Protection District, Ross Valley Fire Department, and FIRESafe MARIN will conduct our next door to door, curbside pick-up chipper days August 26-27, 2017.   Clean up your property to create defensible space and help prevent wildfires in Sleepy Hollow, then we'll dispose of the vegetation at no cost to you!  This service is available to Sleepy Hollow residents only.

Date(s): August 26-27, 2017
Time: 9AM-4PM
Location: At the curbside in front of your home.
Register Online: Beginning August 1 at www.shfpd.org/chipper

WHAT WILL THE CREWS REMOVE?

Chipper crews will dispose of 5+ yards of cut vegetation at no cost (approximately 4'x4'x8', stacked).  Larger quantities must be pre-approved using the online registration form.

Crews will dispose of larger materials that won't fit in your green waste cans (1"-6" diameter limbs, brush, branches, etc).  Bamboo, grass clippings, loose leaves, and soft vegetation can't be chipped and must be disposed of in your green waste cans.
